On 2022 May, Karma Motion's Eda Elif Tibet and Inanc Tekguc embarked on an awe inspiring journey towards filming the cultural landscapes off the Mediterranean. The journey culminates itself with various short videos promoting the very work of the NGOs under the Alliance for Mediterranean Nature and Culture (AMNC)
The filming duo has been commissioned by the MAVA foundation to weave the stories across the Mediterranean for a mind-blowing discovery (National Geographic sort) film called Our Common(s) Story to be shared in eight environmental episodes. Partnering with digital streaming platforms, to accelerate impact and to amplify the unique voices coming from the stewards of the land, the story will be featuring Morocco, Turkey, Tunisia, Lebanon, Greece and Spain.
AMNC is working to strengthen awareness and understanding of cultural landscapes, support traditional producers, and advocate for the enhanced environmental, social and economic benefits for biodiversity and the livelihoods of local people. The NGOs supporting our film are:
Al-Shouf Cedar Society (ACS)
Global Diversity Foundation (GDF)
Moroccan Biodiversity and Livelihood Association (MBLA)
Balearic Group of Ornithology and Defence of Nature Menorca (GOB Menorca)
International Union Conservation of Nature Centre for Mediterranean Cooperation (IUCN)
Mediterranean Institute for Nature and Anthropos (MedINA)
Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL)
World Wide Fund for Nature North Africa (WWF North Africa)
Yolda Initiative (Yolda)
