Deep in Bahia’s Atlantic Forest, the Terra Mirim Foundation founded by Xamam Alba Maria is a sanctuary for earth-centered spirituality rooted in Indigenous, Afro-Brazilian, and feminine ancestral wisdom. Here, an eclectic Shamanic  community gathers to heal, sing, and reconnect with nature’s consciousness.

Songs of the forest follows the quiet rhythm of rituals with medicinal plants, through attentive presence . Structured around the four elements Earth, Water, Fire, and Air, the film traces stages of rituals and transformation, listening closely to the icaros, healing songs that bridge human and more-than-human worlds across the visible and the invisible beings.​​​​​
